Sustainability

Designers, suppliers, retailers, governmental agencies and NGO’s are taking collective action to reform wasteful practices in the fashion industry that have a negative impact on the environment.

The industry produces 10% of all global carbon emissions, and 20% of the global wastewater. A typical pair of jeans is made using around 2,000 gallons of water.

Coalitions like the UN Alliance on Sustainable Fashion seek to reverse this by encouraging industry professionals and consumers to implement environmentally conscious goals. We’d like to join them!
